Available Positions
Camp Director
Full-Time | Salary Range: $45,000-$60,000
Lead the overall vision and operations of Bear Lake Camp.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for camp programs and operations
- Manage staff team and organizational culture
- Oversee budget and fundraising initiatives
- Represent camp to donors, churches, and community
- Ensure compliance with ACA accreditation standards
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in camp ministry or nonprofit management
- Strong Christian faith and commitment to camping ministry
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred (ministry, recreation, business, or related field)
- Experience with budgeting and fundraising
Program Director
Full-Time | Salary Range: $38,000-$48,000
Design and oversee all camp programming for summer camps and retreat groups.
Responsibilities:
- Develop curriculum for summer camp programs
- Recruit, train, and supervise summer counseling staff
- Create program schedules and activity rotations
- Lead worship and teaching during camp sessions
- Manage program equipment and supplies
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in youth ministry or camp programming
- Ability to teach and disciple high school and college-age staff
- Creative thinker with strong organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred (youth ministry, education, or related field)
- Lifeguard and wilderness first aid certifications a plus
Facilities Manager
Full-Time | Salary Range: $40,000-$52,000
Maintain and improve camp facilities, grounds, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utilities
- Manage facilities projects and capital improvements
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supervise seasonal facilities staff and volunteers
- Manage facilities budget and vendor relationships
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in facilities management or skilled trades
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
Kitchen Manager
Full-Time | Salary Range: $35,000-$45,000
Plan and prepare nutritious meals for campers, staff, and retreat guests.
Responsibilities:
- Plan menus for summer camps and retreat groups
- Order food and manage kitchen inventory
- Supervise kitchen staff and volunteers
- Maintain health department compliance and food safety standards
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in food service or institutional cooking
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to cook for large groups (100+ people)
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Experience with dietary accommodations a plus
Office Administrator
Full-Time | Salary Range: $32,000-$42,000
Manage administrative operations and guest services.
Responsibilities:
- Handle camp registrations and guest bookings
- Manage accounts receivable/payable and donor database
- Provide customer service for families and groups
- Assist with marketing and communications
- Support camp director with administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in office administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Experience with QuickBooks or donor management software a plus
